# Connect Meta Ads

> Sync Facebook & Instagram campaign performance from your Meta ad accounts.

Connecting Meta lets ClientPlug pull campaign spend, results, and
cost-per-result from your Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad accounts and attach them
to the right clients.

## Connect your Meta account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Meta step">
    Go to **Integrations → Meta Ads** (or the Connect Facebook step in the setup
    wizard).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in with Facebook">
    Click connect. You'll be sent to Facebook to sign in and authorize
    ClientPlug to read your ad accounts.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize">
    Approve the requested permissions. You're returned to ClientPlug with your
    Meta account connected.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  You can connect **more than one** Facebook profile if you manage ad accounts
  across different logins. Each connection is labeled so you can tell them apart.
</Note>

## Attach ad accounts and campaigns

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick an ad account">
    On a client record, attach the Meta ad account that runs their campaigns.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign campaigns">
    Expand the client on the dashboard and choose which campaigns to track in
    the **Meta Campaigns** column.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sync">
    Click **Refresh** to pull spend, results, and cost-per-result.
  </Step>
</Steps>

See [Campaigns](/essentials/campaigns) for what each metric means and how
cost-per-result targets are color-coded.

## Connection lifetime

A Meta connection stays valid for about **60 days**. When it's close to
expiring or has expired, ClientPlug will prompt you to reconnect — just sign in
with Facebook again from the Integrations page. Your assigned campaigns are
preserved; reconnecting simply restores access to refresh their data.

## What ClientPlug accesses

ClientPlug requests **read-only** access to your ad accounts and campaign
insights so it can display performance. It does not create, edit, pause, or
spend on your campaigns.

## Disconnecting

Disconnect Meta from **Integrations** at any time. Existing campaign data stays
visible in ClientPlug but won't refresh until you reconnect.

<Tip>
  You can also remove ClientPlug's access from your Facebook account's **Business
  Integrations** settings. To request deletion of the data ClientPlug has stored,
  see [Security & data](/account/security-and-data).
