# Clients

> Create, edit, organize, and remove the clients you manage.

Clients are the heart of ClientPlug. Each client record ties together their
billing, ad campaigns, and tasks in one place.

## Adding a client

Click **+ Add Client** on the dashboard (or add clients during the setup
wizard). You'll fill in:

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Company Name" icon="building">
    How you'll recognize this client on your dashboard. This is the only
    required field to get started.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Campaign Type" icon="tag">
    The service you provide them. Choose from:

    * **Lead Generation**
    * **E-Commerce**
    * **SEO**
    * **Paid Advertising**
    * **Social Media Management**

    This appears in the **Type** column and helps you filter and scan your
    roster.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Product / Service" icon="box">
    What the client sells. Shown on the client row so you have context at a
    glance.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Billing" icon="credit-card">
    If Stripe is connected, select the client's **Stripe subscription** from the
    searchable dropdown — payments and revenue then sync automatically. If
    you're not using Stripe for this client, enter their **monthly revenue** and
    **payment status** manually instead. See
    [Payments & revenue](/essentials/payments-and-revenue).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Ad accounts" icon="rectangle-ad">
    Attach the client's Meta and/or Google ad accounts so ClientPlug can pull
    campaign performance. See [Campaigns](/essentials/campaigns).
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Editing a client

Click a client's edit action to change any of their details — name, type,
product, revenue, linked subscription, or attached ad accounts. Changes save
immediately and the dashboard updates.

## Add-on revenue

A client's **monthly revenue** has two parts:

1. The **Stripe subscription amount** (synced automatically when linked), and
2. **Add-on revenue** — any extra recurring charges you bill outside of that
   subscription (retainers, management fees, etc.) that you enter manually.

ClientPlug adds these together to get the client's total monthly revenue, which
rolls up into your [MRR](/essentials/analytics).

## Removing a client

Deleting a client removes them from your dashboard and frees up a slot against
your plan limit. Client records are soft-deleted, so the action is reversible by
contacting support if needed — but campaign and task data tied to the client is
hidden once removed.

<Warning>
  Removing a client does **not** cancel their Stripe subscription or touch your
  Stripe account in any way. ClientPlug only reads payment data — it never charges
  or modifies your clients' billing.
</Warning>

## Plan limits

The number of clients you can add depends on your plan: **5** on Starter, **10**
on Pro, and **unlimited** on Enterprise. When you reach your limit, ClientPlug
prompts you to upgrade. See [Plans & pricing](/plans-and-pricing).
